50th Annual Christmas Market, Dec. 4

  • What: Need some frozen casseroles for an easy holiday dinner? Or some tasty desserts? What about crafty presents for all your friends and family? Find what you need at the 50th Annual Christmas Market. Admission is free for all!

Santa on the Corner, Dec. 4

  • What: Take adorable holiday pictures with Mr. Claus! This event is possible thanks to The United Way of Lee County, Auburn Downtown Merchants Association, and Santa of course. Though everyone can attend for free, you can also give a donation to the United Way if you feel moved.

The Opelika Christmas Parade, Dec. 4

The Auburn Christmas Parade, Dec. 5

  • What: Can’t get your fill of parades? Whether you watch in person or online here, get ready for fantastic floats and a visit from Santa.

Christmas in a Railroad Town, Dec. 10

  • What: Welcome to Christmas in a Railroad Town. Next stop? Face painting, hot chocolate, shopping, crafting, and so much more.

Rocky Brook Reindeer Express, Dec. 10 to 12

  • What: From train rides, to the holiday market, to live entertainment, you’ll enjoy the festivities at the Rocky Brook Reindeer Express. Not to mention, Santa will be there! Tickets cost $2. Pictures with Santa are free!

The Nutcracker, Dec. 10 to 12

  • What: Travel with Clara through fantastical lands in this beloved ballet. Whether you’ve never been before or you go every year, you’re in for a treat. Tickets are on sale now!

Victorian Front Porch Christmas Tour, Dec. 10 to 14

  • What: You’ll pass by 60 classically-decorated homes on the Victorian Front Porch Christmas Tour. It’s primarily a self-driving exploration, but on Dec. 10, you can ride wagons along the path instead. Or, go on the biking tour on Dec. 11 at 10 a.m. or the walking tour from 6 to 9:30 p.m. on the same day. There will also be carolers at this free event.

Ho Ho Ho Hike, Dec. 17 and 18

  • What: Children and adults alike will love this event! It features live entertainment, crafts, surprises, and more. Admission costs $5, but children 2 and younger can attend for free. So, buy your tickets soon!
  • Where: Kreher Preserve and Nature Center, 2222 N. College Street
  • When: 5 to 9 p.m. on Dec. 17 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec. 18

New Year’s Eve Bash, Dec. 31

  • What: Who’s ready for 2022? Celebrate it at this exciting countdown party, complete with hors d’oeuvres, prizes, music, and more. It even includes a free glass of champagne at midnight! Tickets cost $30 and you can purchase yours online.
