Beat Bama Food Drive 2026

A legendary showdown is underway on The Plains, and for once, the action isn’t on the football field. The Beat Bama Food Drive 2026 is officially in full swing, bringing together the unstoppable Auburn spirit. Learn how simple actions are turning into major wins across East Alabama—and how two rivals are turning competition into good.

Beat Bama Food Drive

For more than three decades, Auburn University and the University of Alabama have turned gridiron gridlock into a powerhouse partnership for good, channeling rivalry into an annual competition to stock local food pantries. Ahead of the Iron Bowl, both campuses rally students, alumni and local communities to gather nonperishable donations for their regional food banks.

By channeling school pride into community support, the drive provides essential nutrition to thousands of East Alabama families during the holiday season and the months ahead. Throughout the years, this friendly clash has secured millions of meals, proving that the state’s greatest rivalry can spark real, lasting victory off the field.

Items needed

The Beat Bama Food Drive 2026 gratefully accepts nonperishable food staples, with highly requested items including canned meats like tuna and chicken, canned fruits and vegetables, soups, pasta, rice and macaroni and cheese. In addition, peanut butter, breakfast cereal and dinner meals are also welcome to help support local families in need.

Donation locations

Donating couldn’t be easier, with convenient collection barrels stationed across Auburn University’s campus and at popular local businesses, schools and community hubs throughout East Alabama.

You can drop off nonperishable items at any designated drive location or opt to make a secure monetary donation online, where every dollar helps stretch the impact further. To find a drop-off barrel near you or view a full list of community collection sites, visit the Food Bank of East Alabama events page.
