America 250 Programming

Your family photo albums might hold the missing pieces of a story centuries in the making. As part of the America 250 Programming, Auburn is embarking on a unique project to celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary, and the most important contributors aren’t historians—they’re you. Read on to find out how your family’s history can become a permanent part of Auburn’s legacy.

America 250 Programming

The Auburn Public Library is building a dynamic visual timeline that chronicles our community’s evolution as part of the nationwide America 250 initiative.

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see your personal memories woven into the broader fabric of our city’s shared history. By participating in these photo-sharing sessions, you play a direct role in preserving the stories and faces that have shaped the spirit of our community for generations.

When and where to bring photos

During upcoming collection sessions at the Auburn Public Library, you can bring in your original photographs of local landmarks and everyday moments for professional scanning and immediate return.

  • Saturday, May 23 | 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, June 4 | 4:30–5:30 p.m.

If you are unable to attend in person, you can still participate by emailing your digital submissions to [email protected] or submitting them online. These sessions offer a quick and easy way to ensure your contributions are included in the upcoming America 250 Programming.
