Come Home to the Corner, Sept. 5 & 12
- What: Kicking off September events in Auburn and Opelika is Come Home to the Corner! Auburn Downtown Merchants Association invites you to this special event every Friday night before a home football game. Enjoy live music from 6-9 p.m., extended shopping hours and more. Entertainment district from 5-10 p.m. Don’t miss out—explore downtown Auburn and join the fun!

Food Truck Friday, Sept. 5 & 19
- What: Hosted by the Opelika Chamber, Food Truck Friday is happening twice this September. Eat, drink, mingle, shop, enjoy live music and more festivities. Don’t forget to check out the Chamber’s Facebook page to see which trucks will be parked!

Football, Fans and Feathers, Sept. 5 & 12
- What: Like Come Home to the Corner, Football, Fans and Feathers will be hosted by the Auburn University Raptor Center every Friday before a home football game. See hawks, falcons, eagles and other birds of prey free-flying from towers and around the Edgar B. Carter Educational Amphitheater for a bird’s eye view of them in action. Tickets can be purchased in advance; there is no charge for children three and under.

Auburn Tigers vs. Ball State, Sept. 6

Rocky Brook Rocket Train Public Rides 2025, Sept. 6 & 20
- What: Do you need a reason to enjoy fresh air, sunshine and one of our area’s most beloved parks? Visit Municipal Park, a.k.a. Monkey Park, for September’s Rocket Brook Rocket public train rides for just $1! After the scenic train ride, stay and play on one of several playgrounds.

Family Discover Hike, Sept. 9
- What: Visit Kreher Forest Ecology Preserve and Nature Center for an educational adventure as you and your children take in the sights and sounds of the Preserve. Discover nature and see wildlife up close while enjoying fresh air and exercise in the beautiful outdoors. Discovery Hikes are for families with children ages 5 to 12. Meet at the pavilion for September’s seasonal hike!

9/11 NEVER FORGET Mobile Exhibit, Sept. 11-16
- What: The Tunnel to Towers 9/11 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit will make its first-ever stop in the state at the Southern Union State Community College campus. Housed in an 83-foot tractor-trailer, the mobile museum features artifacts recovered from Ground Zero and more. Honor and remember as you’re guided through the exhibit by retired FDNY firefighters, hearing firsthand accounts of courage, sacrifice and survival.

Brewzle Whiskey Festival 2025, Sept. 20
- What: Back for its second year, prepare for a day of craft whiskey discovery and festival fun, where independent distillers and passionate whiskey makers take center stage. From seasoned whiskey enthusiasts to beginners, this festival offers an immersive, hands-on experience.

Spooky Stories and S’mores, Sept. 26
- What: Chewacla State Park invites families to gather at the campground around the campfire for an evening of spine-tingling storytelling and delicious, gooey s’mores.
