72nd Annual Freedom Celebration, July 3
- What: Start the Fourth of July holiday with a bang at Opelika’s Freedom Celebration on Thursday, July 3! Opelika Parks and Recreation invites you to enjoy family fun with activities, hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn, musical entertainment and fireworks!

Independence Day Celebration, July 4
- What: The July 2025 events in Auburn and Opelika continue with Auburn’s Independence Day Celebration on Friday. Enjoy live music and music by D.J. OZZ, giveaways, inflatables, face painting, Aubie, fireworks and more! Parking is available at Duck Samford Stadium, 1840 E. Glenn Ave., and Duck Samford and Bo Cavin baseball fields, 333 Airport Road.

Live Music Summer Series, July 4, 10, 17, 24 & 31
- What: Celebrate the Fourth of July with rooftop views of the city—and the city’s fireworks show—from The Bar at Wittel. Part of the Summer Lovin’ Music Series, enjoy drinks, live music and more from 7-9 p.m. on Friday. Otherwise, visit the Rooftop Bar every Thursday in July for live music—no cover—from local artists, drinks specials and beautiful views from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Check out their Instagram, @staycohoauburn, for the live music schedule.

Float-In-Movie, July 12
- What: Auburn Parks and Recreation invites you to Samford Pool for the second Float-In-Movie of the season: “The Sandlot!” Bring your favorite floats and chairs to watch this light-hearted baseball comedy, perfect for summer fun. Admission is free. Concessions will be available for purchase.

Texas Roadhouse’s Rib Eating Contest, July 15
- What: You have until Wednesday, July 2, to register for the First-Ever Texas Roadhouse Rib Eating Contest in Opelika! Don’t miss your chance to see if you have what it takes to compete against special guests from the community and others in a “mouthwatering showdown” starring their award-winning ribs.

Teen Culinary Boot Camp, July 15-17
- What: Calling future chefs! Register for an exciting Teen Culinary Boot Camp at Auburn University Tony & Libba Rane Culinary Center! For three hands-on days, teens aged 13-19 will learn the fundamentals of cooking, knife skills, food safety and ways to make meals better than ready-made! Choose from two sessions.

RTJ at Grand National Summer Junior Golf Clinic, July 15-17
- What: Junior golfers, ages 10-17, can improve their game at the last clinic of the season. Limited to six participants, each golfer receives personalized attention and instruction. Registration includes a daily lunch, instruction from a PGA-certified instructor and a “Golf Ready” gift basket. Participants must have their clubs or rent sets for the clinic.

Auburn Oil Co. Booksellers’ July Page Pairings-Author Edition, July 17
- What: Head to the downtown bookstore for a book-inspired wine tasting with two special guest authors! Meet Daco Auffenorde, author of The Medici Curse, and Lori Roy, author of The Final Episode: A Thriller, while tasting six wines and your choice of one of the featured books. The wines are also available for purchase at special event prices!

Cheers on the Corner, July 18
- What: Experience all Downtown Auburn offers in “one fell swoop” at this popular annual event. Get a souvenir cup to enjoy the different tastes at more than 20 stops downtown. Sample savory bites and sip a refreshing beverage at each stop. There’s live music and more. Participants must be 21 years or older to purchase a ticket. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, July 1, for $50 in advance and $55 the day of.

The Standard Deluxe: American Aquarium w/ Special Guest Kristina Murray, July 25
- What: Bring your lawn chair and blankets for an evening under the stars in the Big Yard at the Outdoor Stage with lively music by North Carolina band American Aquarium and special guest Kristina Murray from Nashville opening the show. Come early for drinks and supper.
