About Garden in the Park
Hosted by Keep Opelika Beautiful, a nonprofit focused on recycling, litter prevention and the beautification of Opelika, Garden in the Park is an annual celebration of art and community.
Promoting local artists and their handmade and homegrown art, this celebration will take place on Saturday, May 3, at Opelika’s Municipal Park from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is a rain-or-shine event for all ages, featuring artists, live entertainment and family-friendly activities.
So, what can you expect? Attendees can browse hundreds of unique creations, enjoy children’s crafts, indulge in delicious food and enter a raffle for thrilling prizes. And there will be live entertainment on the stage for all to enjoy!

First and foremost, this event is free. So, pack the car with your family, friends and neighbors because no one should miss out on this free spring fun! However, please note that no pets are allowed.
What are the funds from this event used for? In 2005, Garden in the Park started as a fundraiser for a little red caboose. Now, Keep Opelika Beautiful continues to host the event to raise funds for community projects, such as the downtown Opelika trash cans, landscaping, the trees around the courthouse square and more.
