There’s a new restaurant coming to a new development off East University Drive. And judging from the name, guests can expect a classic, elegant experience centered on quality. Auburn’s new Vintage 2298 plans to open for business soon!

Vintage 2298 in Auburn will be one of the new businesses opening soon in the almost-complete “The Vintage 2298”development.

They will focus on Southern fare with coastal roots. This will be complemented with seasonal ingredients and made with tradition.

According their Facebook page, the menu will “reflect the bounty of the region” featuring fresh, locally-sourced goods. That includes produce, meats, Gulf seafood and wild game, for example.

Career opportunities

In the market for a new and exciting job? Currently the restaurant is hiring for both the front and back of the house.

To clarify, front of the house includes positions such as assistant managers, bartenders, servers, server assistants, hosts and hostesses. For the back of the house, they are looking for a sous chef, pastry chef, line cooks, prep cooks, a butcher and dishwasher.

The Vintage 2298 is a mixed-use development just off East University Drive in between the intersections of North Dean Road and Gatewood Drive. Perhaps you have noticed the construction going on for almost a year now just up from the Auburn Mall and AMC Classic Auburn 14.

The development features old-world architecture with modern touches. It will be used for retail and office space with two restaurant options in an adjacent building, which is where you’ll find Vintage 2298.
